One of the primary jobs of an Early Care and Education Professional is ensuring that children are ready for
school. Making sure young children are ready for school is also one of Arlington's most important economic development tools.
National research indicates that communities with children who are ready for school:
|
|
|
- obtain a quality school district that attracts and retains businesses
- decrease
school district costs related to under-performing students, behavioral management and learning disabilities
- decrease
juvenile justice costs, and,
- improve long-term workforce readiness

The Arlington Alliance
of Early Childhood Professionals is working to unite Professionals from all venues of Early Care and Education in order to
provide Arlington's youngest citizens the best start possible.
Together with The Arlington Child Care Council,
we have identified skills an Arlington Kindergartner needs to be successful in school. These skill sets, as well as activities
that help foster these skills, are available for download below, or by filling out the form to the right. Please note that
only English brochures are available for delivery.
